Can My Concrete Be Polished?

Almost any concrete floor can be polished as long as the concrete is structurally sound. Our experts at TTM Finishes can inspect your floor and let you know if it is suitable for polishing. Often dirt, grease, coatings and blemishes can be removed in the grinding process. Types of floors that are not suitable for polishing include those that are extremely wavy, need extensive patching or are extremely porous

Product Duration Expectancy

The average TTM Finishes polished concrete floor requires refinishing once every five to ten years under heavy traffic conditions. For comparison, epoxy coated floors last two to five years, floors coated with and industrial sealer generally require refinishing every six to twelve months.

Lower Cost of Maintenance

Polished concrete by TTM Finishes can reduce costs associated with maintenance and overhead. Less maintenance consumables are required to maintain the surface as the profile of the concrete surface has been flattened and levelled.
